1990 - 1999

In January 1995, Wernick purchase Hallam Hire from Vic Hallam Limited, which serves to expand the hire facilities with new depots at Rochdale, Nottingham and Isleworth in West London. Later the same year Wernick purchase the Cabin Fleet of BSS, expanding the range of units available for hire. 1996 sees the purchase of the portable building division of VibroPlant, increasing our fleet of hire buildings to over 5,000 and our depot network to 12. New regional offices are opened in Glasgow, Dundee, Stockton, Eggborough, North Kilworth and Newport. Donald Smith (Container Leasing) Ltd is acquired in 1997, and the impressive expansion continues through 1998 with the acquisition of the northern division of MAC Containers, Samson of Wakefield, the rental business of Alliedcabin, UK Cabins and Portable Accommodation Services. Well over 3,500 units are added to the Wernick fleet during this frenetic period, and our depot network increases to keep pace.
