Wernick commits to further large investment
Wernick Event Hire has committed to a further significant investment in new accommodation units to supply the Country Landowners Association (CLA) annual Game Fair for the next five years. This year’s Fair has attracted 1000 exhibitors and in excess of 60,000 visitors are expected daily at the event, which will be held at Belvoir Castle, Leicestershire from Friday 24 - 26 July. The Fair comprehensively covers all aspects of countryside living, country sports and country leisure and is the world’s largest show of its kind, this year occupying an 800 acre site.
Wernick Event Hire’s sole supplier contract is for more than 100 temporary modular and jackleg units for the organizers staff, exhibitors and visitors this year. These units include ladies and gents WC units, gas and electric powered shower units, ticket booths and office accommodation.
CLA’s head of operations Nick Brooks-Ward stated, “We are delighted to have signed this long-term contract with Wernick Event Hire. The high standard of welfare and office accommodation they are supplying is what the event industry has needed for years.”
Wernick’s substantial investment of several million pounds to support the Game Fair contract over the next five years follows on from an announcement in April by David Wernick, the Group’s Chief Executive of a further hefty investment of £14m to construct three new depots, the purchase of the freehold of a further two depots and an investment in fleets of new specialist accommodation.
