Pensioners hall gets thumbs-up from localsThere has been a community hall at Cupar in Fife for many years and for the pensioners who live on the surrounding estate it has been a popular meeting place. The old community hall was well overdue for replacement when Wernick won the contract from Fife County Council to provide a replacement modular building. The design had to allow for the requirements of the client, the restrictions of the site, and a mature tree that could not be felled or trimmed. The new building has received many plaudits from local people for its sympathetic and user-friendly design that blends exactly with the housing that surrounds it. It has a large meeting hall, kitchen, toilets, and a warden’s office. The main internal doors are equipped with a push-pad operating mechanism to suit disabled people.
All buildings are also available for purchase. |
