Wernick wins big at Brigg

When North Lincolnshire Council’s Senior Architect Michael Hadfield received the brief for a new 316 m² Social Services Day Centre at Brigg, he knew straight away that the answer had to be a modular building. Especially with only 13 weeks to complete the project.

To satisfy the council’s procedural requirements, Michael was obliged to source a number of bids for the build. It was Wernick that came up with the goods.

Commenting on his choice, Michael said, “At our first meeting I laid all the cards on the table regarding limited access, a short programme time and a finite budget, plus the fact that existing ‘active’ buildings were to remain operational”. He added, “It was clear that the Wernick team had the experience and detailed design solutions to undertake the project and all the logistical problems that came with it.”

Summing up, a clearly happy Michael said, “I can only say that their adept and professional attention to detail never wavered during the whole contract period, even when the pressure increased.”
